Unquestionably the biggest day in sports in the U.S., the Super Bowl is practically a national holiday. So why not go out and let someone else handle the food and drink prep (and delivery) while you sit back and enjoy watching Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs duke it out with Jimmy Garoppolo and the San Francisco 49ers. There are plenty of pigskin parties in and around Tacoma this Sunday, from McMenamins's Spanish Ballroom to Central Co-op. Wherever you end up watching the big game, just know that everyone's a winner, simply because the New England Patriots aren't playing.

Broken Spoke Tacoma
Sometimes a good Super Bowl party needs more than beer, greasy eats, and the game. Sometimes what the party needs is a hot sauce tasting contest. Test your gastrointestinal fortitude with sauces ranging from sweet and tangy to face-meltingly hot. The party will also have beers from Ninkasi Brewing on tap and some free swag for a lucky few in attendance.

Central Co-op
Why not shake your Super Bowl viewing party up a bit and take in the big game at a food co-op? Watch all the action on the big screen in the community room and take advantage of some gameday deals with $5.99 burritos from the co-op's very own taqueria. There's even a deli on-site to handle all your side-dish and cold beverage needs.

Foss Harbor Marina
Show your community spirit by contributing snacks to this potluck Super Bowl viewing party that offers some spectacular views of the Foss Harbor Marina.

The Harmon
Downtown Tacoma's premier burger and beer joint will switch things up for the big game with beer and chicken wing specials all day long—or until they run out of chicken.

La Cá Bar
Announcing your Super Bowl Party as the "Biggest Football Party" takes some nerve, but this gathering for one of the sports world's most iconic events at least backs up the claim with deals on appetizers, well drinks, draft beers, and, of all things, cognac—because why not?

McMenamins Elk Temple — Spanish Ballroom
Enjoy free admission and happy hour drink prices all day, as McMenamins opens up its Spanish Ballroom to football fans eager to see the Chiefs vs the 49ers on the big screen. There'll be plenty of food to go along with a full menu of McMenamins's ales, as well as wines and other premium adult beverages that you won't have to take your eyes off the game to make yourself.

Rock the Dock Pub & Grill
There'll be cheap food and plenty of drink specials to enjoy as the Kansas City Chiefs take on the San Francisco 49ers. And, just to take this "Super Party" up a notch, there's a chance some lucky fan's free raffle ticket will send them home with some free swag and a full belly.

Sammy's Pizza Tacoma
It seems wrong to watch the Super Bowl and not have at least one pizza on hand. So why not cut out the middle-man and just watch the big game where pizzas are made. While you're there, you can enjoy half-price pies and ice-cold beverages that'll keep flowing until the game's over.

The Spar
There are times when the best concept for a Super Bowl party is the simplest one. There are no big expectations at this football-focused shindig, so if you're looking for a low-key viewing party with deals on beer and food, this is the place.
