"This exhibition of works by internationally-renowned Seattle artist John Grade, will focus on his commitment to repurpose materials to reconstruct them in new forms. The wood timbers and dowels salvaged from the 19th Century lumber transport Wawona or the recreation of a mammoth, coast spruce (currently on display at the Seattle Art Museum) provide three examples. The visual language behind these forms is reflected in an accompanying group of etchings and drawings." (Promo Copy)
