Town Hall Seattle
Before it was annexed and subsumed by Japan in 1879, Okinawa had its own distinct language, religion, and customs, more closely resembling Chinese than Japanese culture. As part of Global Rhythms' "Island Music" series, PNW duo Mako and Munjuru will join Town Hall for an evening of traditional Okinawan music, dance, and storytelling.
