"Winston Wächter Fine Art is excited to announce our eighth solo exhibition with Seattle artist Michael Schultheis. In his latest body of work, Vitruvian Breath, Schultheis demonstrates how the symmetry and proportions applied by Roman architect Vitruvius, can be applied to human consciousness. He explores the patterns of human behavior, maps our shared breath, models how we interact with our partners and loved ones over time. The tracing and recording of our lives create elegant and faultless forms, telling individual stories, and the overlapping stories of humanity. By using the timeless and universal language of mathematics, Schultheis is able to connect us all in a way language and representational imagery often cannot." (Promo Copy)
