Portland writer Vanessa Veselka’s debut, Zazen, which she wrote while driving a cab, raising her child, and waiting tables, won the 2012 PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize. She'll read from her latest, The Great Offshore Grounds, which press materials describe as "an homage to the books that meant the most to her." She'll be joined in conversation by fellow Portland author Lidia Yuknavitch.
