King Kong
When you go see King Kong, keep in mind that you'll be bearing witness to a colonialist heart-of-darkness narrative of the 1930s, but also a landmark in monster stop-motion that inspired later artists like the legendary Ray Harryhausen. Despite its racism, it's still an important piece of film history, a powerful myth of human greed unleashing out-of-control forces of sexuality and rage.
