Need some comfort food on Election Day? Fried chicken joint Holler is offering $3 off their fried chicken sandwich for all who voted and $3 off their full meal deal for delivery. (Holler)
Election Day is upon us. If you're looking for some nourishment to celebrate your civic engagement (and to sustain you through all the stress), Portland bars and restaurants have got you covered with election-themed food and drink specials, like a "Voter's Special" dinner from Laurelhurst Market List , and socially distanced watch parties. Also, note that some Portland establishments are either closing early or entirely closed today (both in order to allow time for employees to vote and in response to Oregon Gov. Kate Brown invoking emergency powers and placing cops in charge on Election Day) so double-check to make sure your favorite spot is still open before leaving your house. Once the results start rolling in, stay in the loop with the Mercury's election coverage—and if you haven't already voted, make sure to do so before 8 pm!
