Spoopy season is upon us with Halloween creeping just around the corner, and getting festive means seeking out goblins, ghouls, and ghastly terrors. But fear not, we’ve rounded up all the best themed events and haunted attractions around for thrillseekers and folks looking to get into the spirit. ATTRACTIONS

Bella Organic Haunted Maze Past Event List
Make a break for it as ghouls, goblins, and Michael Myers—this year's theme is Halloween—stalk you through this haunted maze. There's something lurking around every corner, so grab your bravest friends and keep your wits about you.

Boo Drive Thru
Past Event List Stay warm (and safe!) in your car, cruising slowly past light displays, spooky frights, and an arrangement of exquisitely carved jack-o'-lanterns by the community (you can even see yours on display if you go pick up a complimentary pumpkin and decorate it during the week preceding the event). Get extra festive and wear your Halloween costume, decorate your car, and BYO hot cider to sip on as you take in the sights.

The Cinema of Horrors: Drive-In Experience
Past Event List Frightening creatures will deliver fair foods and frights as you watch some of most bone-chilling blockbusters ever made. Bring a brave crew and keep your car doors locked as you watch Insidious (Thurs Oct 14), A Nightmare On Elm Street (Sat Oct 23), and Halloween on Halloween.

Clackamas County Scare Fair Past Event List
The Scare Fair's theme, Harbinger of Souls, brings mysterious figures and ghosts plucked from the Willamette River valley's haunted history to the fairgrounds. Customize your experience with a "creature candle"—turn it on for safe passage, or off for some bone chilling encounters.

Fright Night at the Davis Graveyard Past Event List
Meet the devilishly talented crew of elaborate yard display Davis Graveyard. You'll get a behind the scenes look at the "cemetery's" set up while enjoying food (vegan options available) and an open bar, a roaring fire, and a spooky goodie bag. The event will also include a costume contest and proceeds will go to HIV/AIDS organizations Cascade AIDS Project and Our House.

Kids Monster Fest
Past Event List Geared towards kids 12 and under (and scaredy cats of all ages—no judgment!), this matinee event will take you through Underhill Manor, where you'll receive a magic beacon designed to ward off ghouls and monsters. Keep an eye out for resident bat Harry to win prizes, and get in the wholesome Halloween spirit without having to worry about nightmares later.

Oaks Park ScareGrounds Past Event List
Visit Oaks Park after dark and walk through three haunted attractions—Grimthorne Manor, EViLUTION, and The Condemned: Make ’em Scream—in addition to checking out the house of horrors scarezone, graveyard pumpkin patch, and scream parlor photo op. On Halloween night, the amusement park will conclude their 2021 season with a free fireworks display along the waterfront.

Spirit of Halloweentown
Past Event List You'll find it impossible not to get into the spooky spirit at St. Helens' annual tribute to Halloween. Leaning into the fact that the movies Halloweentown and Twilight were partially filmed there—Ashley Greene aka Alice Cullen and Jackson Rathbone aka Jasper Hale will even make appearances this year—the city transforms into a themed attraction complete with a giant pumpkin, circus performers, a haunted house, and more.

Underhill & Fearlandia Present Season of Screams
Past Event List Underhill Haunted House and Fearlandia have put their twisted talents together to present Season of Screams, a collection of three haunted attractions under one roof. Dodge chemically altered lab employees in Fears Gate, face your worst nightmare in Night Terrors, and escape the wrath of the scheming Madam Underhill in Underhill Manor.

15th Annual Thrill the World Portland Past Event List
Portlanders will rise from the dead to perform Michael Jackson's classic "Thriller" dance. Come in costume and participate, or simply spectate at this thrilling decade-and-a-half-long tradition that screams "keep Portland weird." DJ Prashant's dance troupe will be on hand to perform a Bollywood version of the dance, and the PDX Witches will also grace the crowd with their famous broom dance.

45 East Haunted House Party Past Event List
45 East presents two rooms of thrilling, heart pumping electronic and dance music over two nights. Heads will roll to local, national, and international artists such as Shiba San, Dombresky, CID, Ernest Ryan, Night City, and more.

Bewitched! Outdoor Halloween Dance Party Past Event List
Dance under the moon—and maybe even howl at it—at this outdoor party where you’re encouraged to dress like your favorite witch, sorcerer, magician, or in orange and black. DJs Action Slacks and Wildman James will "summon the disembodied voices of spirits-of-dance-floors-past," spinning '50s R&B, '60s and early '70s soul, and more oldies until you end up in a trance.

Portland Erotic Ball Past Event List
Emmy-nominated Sasha Scarlett will host Portland’s sexiest event, taking up three floors of the Crystal Ballroom. Costumes (or stylized states of undress) are a must, so you might as well go all out in pursuit of costume contest prizes (over $5,000 in cash is up for grabs). Soul Vaccination will perform, DJ OG ONE—the official DJ of the Blazers—will keep bodies rocking, and you can admire circus performers and aerial and burlesque performances or get in on the action on the interactive fetish demonstration stage.

Psycho-A-Go-Go! A Rock & Roll Mask-erade Dance Party! Past Event List
This monster mash will feature rock & roll sets from DJs Rescue and Gregarious, plus a live set of creepy covers by The Edgar Allan Posers for you to shake your bones to. VJ Disorder and The Creature from The Black Lagoon will deck out the space with tons of "gore-lorious decorations" and project "wicked visuals compiled from the spookiest and most bizarre movies of all time" throughout. Immortalize the night by taking photos in front of themed backdrops, and dress to impress at the three category costume contests—prizes will be given to the best rockstar, best monster, and most creative/weirdest. The sustainably minded craft store will have its resident stitch witch and drag expert on hand to assist you in making the Halloween costume of your dreams whether you need to get some inspiration, you're in the beginning stages of executing your vision, or you're putting on some finishing touches (Fri Oct 15). After you hit a pumpkin patch or two, BYOPumpkin to SCRAP and get your decorating hat on. Transform your gourd into the most eye-catching jack-o'-lantern on the block with glitter, paint, googly eyes, and other bedazzling bits. If you're not a proponent of the pumpkin, you can make a lumiere in a glass jar, a decoration that you can reuse year after year (Sat Oct 16).

Past Event List From the folks who bring you the sexy film fest HUMP! and stoner showcase SPLIFF, comes the second annual SLAY Film Festival to scare your pants off on Hallo-weekend. Expect everything from "classic ghost stories and slasher films, to dystopian cults and political nightmares."

Spooky Season
Past Event List Feast your eyeballs on weird and wonderful pieces at this group show curated by Well Well co-founder Jessie Weitzel Le Grand. The gallery will display Dan Lam's signature resin pieces, sculptures by Paolo Puck, ceramics by Pam Puck and Sarah Hughes, and more. A closing party will be held on Halloween night, and visitors are encouraged to come in costume.

Villains & Vixens Musical Cabaret
Past Event List This spooktacular musical cabaret will run through a program entirely composed of parody songs sung by all the fictional villains everyone loves to hate, like Beetlejuice, Maleficent, Cruella, Captain Hook, Ursula, and more from films like Star Wars, It, The Shining, and Jaws. As The Lion King's Scar would sing: "Beee Prepaaared!"

Oregon City Public Library Halloween Scavenger Hunt Past Event List
The historic library will lead kids and adults of all ages on a scavenger hunt through Oregon City with two ways to play. An easy mode will task young kids and families with finding Halloween iteams hidden in the windows of town landmarks like Ermatinger House, Pioneer Center, and City Hall. In the advanced mode, older kids, teens, and adults will tap on a digital badge to read riddles and guess which noteworthy books they're referring to... Answers will be posted at each scavenger hunt stop. Each registered participant will receive a small prize and prize drawing ticket.

Run Like Hell 10K-5K Past Event List
Don your Halloween costume and take part in this fun run where you can choose the length (5 or 10K) of your course and whether to walk like a zombie or run like a bat out of hell. The event will begin and end at the Milwaukie Elks Lodge, taking participants along a flat, paved trolley trail. Live music, beer, food, and more will await runners and walkers at the finish line.
