The first official day of spring is this Sunday, and this weekend has plenty of events to usher in the season, whether you're partial to local music from Eyelids with Whisper Hiss to Mic Crenshaw with YAWA and Jonny Cool, or late-night comedy from The Love Boys Love Chris Estrada to Stoolhumpin'. As an elderly pensioner struggles to secure food, shelter, and companionship during Italy’s postwar economic recovery, he notices that human kindness seems to have vanished in the face of rapid modernization. This heartbreaking neorealist film was directed by Vittorio De Sica (Bicycle Thieves). It's presented by Eviction Representation for All, a tenant-led initiative to bring right to counsel to Multnomah County eviction courts.
