Portland Seafood & Wine Festival Past Event List
Sip a lotta wine, eat a lotta fish! Sounds pretty simple, right? This annual celebration of coastal drinking and dining falls in the middle of Dungeness crab season, too, so there's definitely gonna be some seasonal delicacies to try, as well as other family-friendly activities. (Sat Feb 1, noon, Oregon Convention Center, $13, all ages)

Beer Belly Dinner Past Event List
EastBurn's Beer Belly Dinners are a reliably delicious dining endeavor, pairing their cuisine with local breweries, ensuring an amazing and filling night of dining. Tonight's four-course collaborators are Threshold Brewing and Blending, and representatives will be present to answer any questions about their beers and telling the stories behind their creation. (Tues Feb 4, 6:30 pm, EastBurn, $48)

Vitaly Paley & Friends
This ongoing dinner series combines excellent live music presented by Friends of Chamber Music, with original, and equally excellent cuisine by Vitaly Paley and friends. Price includes musical performance, dinner, beverages, and gratuity. Tonight's theme: A Taste of Scandinavia. (Thurs, Feb 6, 6 pm, Headwaters at the Heathman, $150)

After the Flood Party
Edgefield got soaked a while back thanks to a broken pipe making a really big mess of things, but it'll take more than some sogginess to keep McMenamins down, and the Edgefield is inviting one and all to visit the manor to see just how wonderfully the place has recovered, with an art discovery hunt, live music from the Brass Roots Movement, coffee tastings, beer tastings, wine tastings, spirits tastings, a history tour, and a chance to look at the painstakingly restored murals on the walls. (Sat Feb 8, noon, Edgefield, free)

Cedar Hills Pub IPA Festival
The veritable rainbow of IPAs are on full display at this first-ever Cedar Hills Pub IPA Festival, featuring varieties created by the creative beer-making minds at over 20 McMenamins breweries. (Sat Feb 8, 11 am, McMenamins Cedar Hills, free, all ages)

History Wines Dinner
Castagna hosts this special evening highlighting Stoller Family Estate History Wines, with Chef Justin Woodward creating dishes that are perfectly paired with wines taken from some of the region's oldest vineyards. (Sat Feb 8, 6 pm, Castagna, $150)

Beer Cider Love
Hair of the Dog once again presents this lovely little collision of beer and cider, with Fort George Brewery, E.Z. Orchards Cidre, and Hair of the Dog Brewing Company, all coming together to co-host a six-course, custom-curated dinner with menu items crafted to pair perfectly with their offerings, including citrus cured salmon, crispy chicken with pear honey, sweet onion and caraway soup, and more. (Mon Feb 10, 6 pm, Hair of the Dog Brewing Company, $70)

Valentine's at Pix
One of Portland's favorite patisseries does Valentine's splendidly and early, with a special "Tea for Two" service that includes 20 sweet & savory treats alongside two pots of Townshend's tea and two glasses of sparkling wine ($84 per couple); special Valentine's desserts including mousse cake, heart-shaped macarons, and more; and a lucky customer will pick up the one box of handmade chocolates that also contains a pair of 14 karat gold stud earrings with 12.25 carat round cut diamonds. (Feb 13-16, Thurs 2 pm, Fri 10 am, Sat-Sun 2 pm & 3:30 pm, Pix/Bar Vivant, $84)

Romantic French Dinner
Bergerac is making sure that whenever it is you celebrate Valentine's Day - or even if you celebrate it the day before, the day of, and the day after - you get the opportunity to celebrate it as traditionally as possible with a bonafide romantic French dining experience lit by candelight. (Thurs-Sat Feb 13-15, 5 pm, Bergerac Bistro, $65)

The Perfect Pairing
Valentine's Day is maybe the best excuse to indulge in what Moonstruck and Portland Cider House consider to be the perfect pairing: Cider and chocolates, of course. (Fri Feb 14, noon, Portland Cider House, $20)

Festival of the Dark Arts
Astoria's day long party in honor of the best of all beers: The stouts. Includes not just a wide array (over 70) of some of the most flavorful and adventurous dark beers on tap, but "roaming artistry" which includes, if the photos on this year's page are any indication, weirdos on stilts, a bunch of bands, people playing with fire, and... (squints) a blacksmith forging things. (Sat Feb 15, Fort George Brewery + Public House, Astoria, $40-55)

Star Brews Festival
The Redd is "transformed into an intergalactic playground" for beer lovers from all galaxies, even the ones that end their nine-part sagas on a thoroughly messy and mostly unsatisfying note. Ahem. But you'll only find intriguing and delicious notes in the many beers and ciders made available at this festival for craft brews. Includes photos, live music, and food. #RoseTicoDeservedBetter (Sat Feb 15, 6:30 pm, The Redd on Salmon, $39)

Zwickelmania!
Prime your liver for Zwickelmania, the annual event where more than 100 breweries open their doors for your drinking pleasure, with free samples, cornhole, tours, and beer releases. It's kinda like an open house for beer, but the house is essentially all of Portland and select breweries outside the city. (Sat Feb 15 & Sat Feb 22, 11 am, Various Locations, free)

2020 Oregon Beer Awards Ceremony
The "Academy Awards for Oregon beer" returns the Revolution Hall, honoring the finest brews (in over 20 categories), bars, and festivals in all the land. (Tues Feb 18, 6 pm, Revolution Hall, $20)

Divas Dinner Party
It's kind of like the Drag Brunch that happens here at the Night Light, but at night, which naturally transforms the combination of cocktails, comedy, and glam panache into the Divas Dinner Party. (Fri Feb 21, 8 pm, Night Light Lounge, $40)

Oregon Distilled
Over 120 spirits from 25 Oregon distilleries are not just on display but available for the imbibing at this giant-sized tasting festival, offering opportunities to try new drinks, make your own cocktails, and enjoy bites made especially for the event from five all-star chefs. (Sat Feb 22, 5 pm, The Redd on Salmon, $45-195)

Beyond the North Wind Dinner
Bonnie Morales and Vitaly Paley welcome author Darra Goldstein to Kachka to celebrate the release Beyond the North Wind - an exploration of the history of Russian cuisine - with a four-course menu featuring menu items inspired by the stories in Goldstein's pages. (Wed Feb 26, 7 pm, Kachka, $100)

6th Annual Brewstillery Festival
Some of the best breweries and distilleries in the country gather under a big tent in front of StormBreaker for a daylong festival pairing the best spirits with the best beers, along with live music all day long. Participating pairing teams include Breakside & Freeland Spirits, Migration & Captive Spirits, Pono & Aria, Ex Novo & Rolling River, and many more. (Sat Feb 29, noon, StormBreaker Brewing, $25-45)
