Let the bells ring and the confetti fall: We're teaming up with our pizza-loving pals at the Portland Mercury and the SPLIFF Film Festival to bring you PIZZA WEEK 2021! While the pandemic may have canceled last year’s edition, local pizza restaurants have made great strides in pizza takeout technology, which now makes getting delicious slices safer for everyone—both makers and tasters! 

From April 19-25, all you pizza lovers will have the chance to get special slices from some of Portland's finest purveyors of pizza pies... for a mere two dollars each! That's right: Each slice is just TWO MEASLY DOLLARS or, at participating venues, a WHOLE PIE for $16. (You heard correctly: This year certain Pizza Week participants may be offering $16 whole pies along with slices, or just whole pies alone. Be sure to check our Pizza Week locations below to see who is offering what!)

Here at EverOut Portland, we'll be your one-stop shop for the latest intel on what might be our greatest Pizza Week lineup ever—one that features 27 different pizzas at 30 Portland locations, available across the city and lovingly crafted by your favorite pizza masterminds. Read on to discover the full lineup of exclusive slices and pies!

Our participating pizza places will be trying their best to deliver great slices and pies while KEEPING YOU AND THEIR EMPLOYEES SAFE. Please be patient, tip well, and follow their wise advice!

Before digging in, here are a few things to keep in mind:

• Everyone loves Pizza Week! As one of the city’s most beloved food events, the Portland Mercury’s Pizza Week is popular—which means that some locations will be busy, and other locations might sell out of their sought-after slices. When facing such challenges, just visit another Pizza Week location, or come back the next day! You’ll get pizza either way, so it’ll be a win-win.

• Tip, and tip well! An event as big as Pizza Week takes a ton of work—so show your appreciation to the chefs, the waitstaff, and the mad pizza scientists who make this event such a wondrous pinnacle of delicious beauty.

• Don’t forget sides and drinks! As we all know, the average human body is 60 percent water, 30 percent pizza, and 10 percent a black, timeless void where your soul went to die. Do your best to fill up that horrifying and lifeless chasm with the scrumptious sides and drinks available at all Pizza Week locations!

Assembly Brewing's "The D"

WHAT IT IS: Pepperoni, Canadian bacon, mushrooms, onions, green pepper
WHAT THEY SAY: "The D" is a classic combination for Detroit Style Pizza with airy and chewy dough, the Pepperoni under a Brick cheese blend, caramelized edges and red sauce on top. If you want to know what a classic Detroit Style Pizza is like, try this!

Atlas Pizza's "The Cowboy Philly"
WHAT IT IS: House-smoked, thin-sliced steak, bacon bits, Grampy Biggs house-pickled sweet peppers, red and green onion, garlic oil, and sweet habanero base.
WHAT THEY SAY: In keeping with Pizza Week tradition, we’re smoking some meat! This pie will have all the elements you desire: salty, savory, smoky, sweet and spicy. Besides the house-smoked steak, this year's slice features our signature Grampy Biggs peppers!

Baby Doll Pizza's "Holy Mole"
WHAT IT IS: A blend of mozzarella and pepper jack, topped with mole-marinated chicken, sautéed poblano pepper, and white onion. Finished with avocado cilantro crema and fresh cotija cheese.

WHAT IT IS: Hong Shao Rou (red cooked pork belly), seven-spice BBQ sauce, red onion, mozzarella, scallions, and crispy pork skin.
WHAT THEY SAY: Hongshaorou Pisa is a Danwei Canting celebration of China's millenniums long world changing innovation history. Papermaking, Printing, Powder ... and Pizza! 红烧肉披萨 is a discovery worthy of Marco Polo himself. Pairs well with Montucky Cold Snack. Available for a limited time.

WHAT THEY SAY: Sweet(ish), savory, nutty & a bit spicy just like we are! There's also a vegan version, sans cheese with crispy soy sambal tofu.

Fino Bistro and Pizzeria's "Strawberry Fields Forever"
WHAT IT IS: Organic strawberry, lemon honey whipped ricotta, crispy lacinato kale, balsamic reduction
WHAT THEY SAY: The sun is back and so is strawberry season! We couldn't resist throwing them on a pie for our contribution to pizza week this year. Sweet and savory with a nice brightness from the fresh berries. Our tasters were RAVING about it. Happy eating!

WHAT IT IS: Hot dogs, cornbread swirls, mozz, shaved onion, pepper relish, potato chips
WHAT THEY SAY: Inspired by our friend Fahad—a hot dog hound, artistic director, publisher, entrepreneur, choral composer, and singer (with the voice of an angel)—this corn dog pizza is a composition designed to make your taste buds trill.

Humdinger Pizza's "Pray To Your Al Pastor"
WHAT IT IS: Al pastor, pickled jalapeño, cotija, mozzarella, pineapple, cilantro, white onion, served with a lime wedge
WHAT THEY SAY: Juicy al pastor, along with our house-made spicy honey chipotle sauce, makes for a sweet and spicy street taco pizza fusion! Fresh pineapple, mozzarella, cotija cheese, and pickled jalapeños are baked with our hand-stretched dough. Finished with chopped white onions, cilantro and a squeeze of lime, this pizza will make you pray to your al pastor! (Gluten-free crust available for whole 12” pie only, +$3. Make it vegetarian by leaving off the al pastor.)

Mississippi Pizza Pub's "Philly Fungi"
WHAT IT IS: Caramelized onion sauce, provolone, parmesan, cremini and portabello mushrooms, Anaheim peppers, roasted garlic, and a touch of sea salt
WHAT THEY SAY: We are always finding ways to make pizza the ultimate comfort food, what's more comforting than a veggie Philly cheese-"steak"? We put a West Coast spin on our pizza with the Anaheim peppers because of their smoky, sweet, and tangy taste. Science has shown that upon eating comfort foods the brain releases feel-good hormones that promote well-being, and we all need a little more well-being after the past year. We don't argue with science!

WHAT THEY SAY: Wait, hold on...did you say vegetarian? Featuring VeganCredible plant-based pepperoni and VeganCredible sausage with olives, whole-milk mozzarella, fire roasted tomato sauce and house made pizza dough, slightly spicy, and super meaty. WHAT IT IS: Yellowfin tuna, fresh red onions, capers, aged mozzarella, garlic olive oil
WHAT THEY SAY: First anchovies, then clams, now tuna. It’s no secret that we love seafood on our Sicilian-style ‘za, so for this year’s Pizza Week, we’re excited to bring you across the globe to Southern Italy with Pizza Tonno e Cipolla! This classic Sicilian combo directly translates to “tuna and onion,” and features a base of aged mozzarella topped with yellowfin tuna, thinly sliced red onions, capers, oregano, and a drizzle of garlic olive oil. Using our 100% naturally leavened dough as the foundation, you can think of this slice a bit like a gourmet tuna melt. Mangia!

WHAT THEY SAY: This pie was created by our chef Taki, who has a catering company with her partner, called Two Spoons! She made an incredible Bolognese sauce using Lanely Family farms ground beef!

WHAT THEY SAY: Like any great crewmember of a great spaceship can tell you, "Great pizza is like a great crewmember on a great spaceship: Reliable, trustworthy, mysterious, vegan, and delicious!"...Or something to that effect...Or was it "Spicy, smoky, beautiful, and out of this world!"...Well, that's Shepherd Book (the pizza).

Get your munch on with the RABBITS SALAD PIZZA as a slice or a whole pie. A $4 upcharge will VEGANIZE a whole pie with Follow Your Heart Vegan cheese. Society Pie's "A Slice of Society"
WHAT IT IS: House-made dough, pesto base sauce, 100% mozzarella, mushrooms, topped with feta, and a fresh mix of microgreens made just for Portland Pizza Week from Le Petit Jardin Urban Garden Market (Cornelius, OR).
WHAT THEY SAY: It's been a blast getting to work with our friends from Le Petit Jardin on this collaboration to come up with a pie that highlights the bright and herby flavor of the pesto, creamy richness from our premium 100% mozzarella, earthiness of the mushrooms, and the freshness from the feta and mix of microgreens from Le Petit Jardin. Enjoy!

WHAT THEY SAY: Pizza, so hot right now. This slice is really, really, really ridiculously good looking. Pick up a couple slices or order a whole pie, put some in one of those Tupperware containers and heat it up in the microwave when you get home. For Christ’s sake Sheila, it’s pizza, it will stay.

WHAT THEY SAY: We like big slices "and we cannot lie." This big ol' slice of Seoul meets NYC meets PDX has us straight droolin' it's so good! Savory, juicy, crunchy and just the right amount of spice - this slice will have you, too, sayin', "Baby Got Bok!"

WHAT IT IS: Adobo cream sauce base, shredded mozzarella, fried plantains, sweet dijon pulled pork, sliced shallots, parmesan tuile, chives, balsamic reduction drizzle
WHAT THEY SAY: Let us answer your question with a question: why HAVEN'T you put plantains on a pizza? They're sweet, they're starchy, and after some tinkering (and a whole lot of punning around) we came up with a slice that's so damn good we're afraid we may have actually broken pizza. Ohohoh PlanTainted Love!

WHAT IT IS: The vegan Hawaiian features vegan cheese, soyrizo, pineapple, and red onion on our gluten-free deep dish.
WHAT THEY SAY: Our completely vegan slice is made from our beautifully fluffy gluten-free deep dish, which we bake with high-quality gluten-free Caputo flour. This works perfectly topped with our vegan cheese, delicious soyrizo, juicy pineapple, and red onion on a tomato base.

Sweet Heart Pizza's "Salami Picante"
WHAT IT IS: Roasted red pepper and cashew romesco, salami picante, rapini, braised leeks and al pimenton cheese
WHAT THEY SAY: This pizza is based on the classic Spanish pairing of leeks and romesco, made famous by the yearly celebration of the "Calcotada." The al pimenton sheep's cheese, also from Spain, adds an extra kick and smokiness of paprika. The salami picante from Italy brings the heat to counter the bitterness of the rapini.

WHAT THEY SAY: Truly a taco disguised as a pizza. Why just have a regular old pizza party when it can be a taco pizza fiesta?!
