Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, and Julien Baker will co-headline The Wild Hearts Tour with support from special guest Spencer.
Edgefield continues to roll out their summer 2022 lineup, this week announcing that indie rock darlings Sharon Van Etten, Angel Olsen, and Julien Baker will co-headline The Wild Hearts Tour. Each artist will perform with their respective bands, but we can safely assume that Olsen and Van Etten will share the stage to perform their track “Like I Used To.” And good news for Lord Huron fans—the band will return to Portland after making a stop here less than a year ago. Read on for details on those and other newly announced events, plus some news you can use.

Tickets go on sale at 10 am unless otherwise noted.

The city’s electric bike share program BIKETOWN has expanded its service area by 25 percent. The nine-and-a-half square mile expansion extends into East Portland and the St. Johns neighborhood, including the University of Portland campus. In September 2021, the program announced that Portland college students who qualify for federal financial aid would be eligible to sign up for a free BIKETOWN for All membership.

Mt. Hood Meadows List has paused sales of their season passes (except the Nordic season pass), value passes, and night passes in advance of the MLK holiday weekend. Additionally, they’ve reduced the number of daily tickets in an effort to curb congestion after reports of mountain goers experiencing hours-long commutes last weekend.

The 2022 MLS SuperDraft was held on Tuesday, January 11. The Portland Timbers Past Event List selected defender Justin Rasmussen for the 27th pick, defender Julian Bravo with the 55th pick, and defender Sivert Haugli with the 83rd overall pick.

A COVID-19 testing company, Center for COVID Control, which operates three Portland metro-area sites, is now under investigation by the Oregon Department of Justice. Willamette Week broke the news.
