CLOSURES

Acadia Add to a List
Portland's treasured Cajun-Creole restaurant closed its doors for good last weekend. Chef Seamus Foran wrote in an Instagram post last Friday, "I’ve never been good at long speeches (or short ones), so I’ll just say…Thanks for 20 years Portland. This weekend will be our final service at Acadia Bistro. It’s been a pleasure cooking for you these past two decades. Thank you to everyone who has ever dined with us, and drank with us, and an especially big, GIGANTIC 'Thank you!' to everyone who’s ever worked here with me. Or for me. Thanks for helping make this place feel like home."
Sabin

Clyde Common Add to a List
After numerous closures and pivots, the pioneering downtown drinks destination is now permanently closed due to the impact of the pandemic and a decrease in downtown traffic. Owner Nate Tilden wrote, "While we are very sad to see Clyde disappear for good, I am extremely proud of the work we did at Clyde Common over 14 wonderful years. Proud that our customers loved us from the day we opened in 2007. Proud to be a stalwart hub of Portland in what we offered in food, drink, hospitality, and vibrancy. We also won some nice awards, and that's great, but what I cherish the most are the amazing staff members who walked through the doors each and every day."
