Kenny & Zuke's Add to a List
The Jewish deli, which closed its downtown location in December, reopened in the former Kimura Toast Bar Add to a List space on New Year's Day, serving a new "bagel-centric" menu along with espresso drinks and locally smoked fish. The new location also features a spacious heated patio.

Matutina Add to a List
The República Add to a List crew opened this lovely, light-filled "panadería americana" earlier this month. The spot slings nourishing breakfast dishes like savory porridge, biscuits with chorizo gravy, and porchetta breakfast sandwiches alongside coffee, champurrado, and pan dulce.

My-O-My Add to a List
The team behind the laidback hangout White Owl Social Club Add to a List soft opened this cozy cocktail bar in the former Rocky Butte Pub space on January 6. Guests can enjoy pinball, arcade games, an indoor fireplace, and crisp-edged smash burgers from the cart Monster Smash PDX Add to a List , which runs the kitchen.

FUTURE OPENINGS

Besaw’s Add to a List and Solo Club Add to a List
The historic restaurant Besaw's is set to reopen by the end of January, followed by its sibling cocktail bar Solo Club. Owner Cana Flug is teaming up with River Pig Saloon Add to a List owner Ramzy Hattar to relaunch the businesses with a new chef and general manager, but Hattar tells Eater Portland that no major changes are planned.

Fire on the Mountain Add to a List
The Portland-born Buffalo wing joint plans to expand with a new restaurant in a former auto sales lot in Bend later this year.

Toyshop Ramen Add to a List
Soon, you'll be able to get in touch with your inner child while imbibing grown-up beverages and slurping scratch-made noodles. Chef Isaac Ocejo plans to open this toy-themed bar in the former Jinx Add to a List space next month, serving ramen alongside cocktails from cocktails from Gabbiano’s Add to a List co-owners David Sigal and Blake Foster.

New Nordic Cuisine Opening Add to a List
In the last 15 years, the Nordic food movement, defined by its emphasis on local, natural and seasonal produce, has inspired world-famous chefs and home cooks alike. Nordia House will kick off their New Nordic Cuisine Add to a List exhibit, which examines the Nordic value-driven food system, with appetizers and a lecture from Thor Erikson.

Sixth Annual Wassail Cider Fest Add to a List
Wassailing is an ancient custom that involves toasting to health and prosperity in the new year (often with cider-based beverages) and visiting an orchard to promote a bountiful harvest. McMenamins will put its own spin on the Old English tradition with a special toast, an orchard parade, live music, and of course, plenty of cider. Come dressed in "bright colors with medieval flair" for a chance to win a costume contest.

Binary Brewer's Dinner Add to a List
At their inaugural brewer's dinner, Binary Brewing will team up with the restaurant Megabites to present a banquet-style, five-course meal with specially curated beer pairings.

Shinnenkai Add to a List
Take part in a shinnenkai (a traditional Japanese New Year's gathering), complete with osechi and sushi from Sho, ozoni soup from Chef Naoko, and sake from SakéOne. Additional festivities include fukubukuro (lucky grab bags), kimonos, games, card making, and live performances.
