CLOSURES

Buddy's Steaks List
Co-owner Buddy Richter announced via Instagram this week that his plant-based Philly cheesesteak cart will close permanently on September 17, writing, "It’s been an incredible ride which I am profoundly grateful for, but it’s time I take an indefinite break to focus on my own mental and physical health. I am tremendously thankful for the opportunity your support has given me for the past two years. It is a difficult decision, but for the first time in my life I am stepping away from something I love deeply in order to prioritize myself and make the necessary changes to live a more positive and balanced lifestyle."

Reverend Nat's Hard Cider List
It's the end of an era: Portland's pioneering cidery Reverend Nat's List , known for its esoteric concoctions, is bidding farewell on September 24. Founder Nat West wrote on Instagram, "Please don’t be sad! We’ve had an incredible run and I met so many amazing people and shared so many wonderful experiences. It’s been the best job I’ve ever had. The last few years has been hard on us with COVID closures, changing consumer preferences, the sputtering of craft beer overall, and the decline of Portland as a worldwide tourism destination. But there is not a single reason why we are closing, just a combination of factors." He invites fans to come pay their respects before the closure and to celebrate at a going-away party on September 23. He'll also share three final releases in the experimental Tent Show series (including one fittingly titled Swan Song) and non-alcoholic cider in cans for the first time.
