Fusion Curry Pizza List
In keeping with a trend that's been cropping up over the last few years, this new spot, which debuted in the former Hot Lips Pizza List space in Hollywood at the end of September, combines cheesy pies with classic Indian flavors, resulting in delightful mashups like chicken curry pizza and paneer tikka pizza. Other offerings include breadsticks, waffle fries, wings, and treats like mango ice cream and gulab jamun for dessert.

Kizuki Ramen & Izakaya List
This Japan-based chain hosted the grand opening of a new location inside Uptown Shopping Center last Saturday, serving its signature steaming bowls of ramen with broth options such as garlic tonkotsu shoyu and spicy chicken tan tan, as well as izakaya-inspired bites like chicken karaage and takoyaki.

Tigard welcomed this elegant new Japanese restaurant in late September. The menu features ramen, nigiri, sashimi, omakase sets, sushi, and hand rolls.

The Yanick Room List
The celebrated Haitian restaurant Kann List recently opened this new dining room named in tribute to chef-owner Gregory Gourdet's mother. The space seats 12-36 guests and offers a 10-course family-style dinner, with options for add-ons.

FUTURE OPENINGS

Fuller's Coffee Shop List and Fuller's Burger Shack List
After going on hiatus due to damage from a fire in February, the 75-year-old diner Fuller's Coffee Shop is set to make a triumphant return sometime this month. The owners will also open an outpost of their fast food joint Fuller’s Burger Shack in the former BurgerFi space in Pioneer Place's food hall this month.

Los Burros Supremos List and La Leñadora List
The Oregonian reports that a burrito shop called Los Burros Supremos and a full-service Mexican restaurant called La Leñadora, serving "lamb shank birria, sizzling Oregon albacore fajitas and lots of Mexican seafood," are set to take over the restaurant and market space of the erstwhile Woodsman Tavern List .

Pleasure Burger List
This smash burger joint, which closed its Pine Street Market List location in April, announced on Instagram this week that it has secured a new brick-and-mortar location in downtown Portland, next to Pioneer Square and Nordstrom. The business has also received a $20,000 grant from the new Downtown Portland Clean & Safe program, which aims to bring more small businesses to downtown Portland.

The artisan ice creamery plans to open its first Southwest Washington scoop shop on the Vancouver waterfront early next year.

Suki's 2 List
Southwest Portland's longtime karaoke destination Suki's List will open a second location in the former space of the beloved sports bar Claudia's List , which closed permanently on Monday after a staggering 65 years of business.

Mattino's Wines List
This wine shop owned by No Saint List co-owners Gabriella Casabianca and Anthony Siccardi will close on October 29. The couple plans to convert the space into a "a wine delivery service, club, and space that hosts gatherings."

Taqueria Nueve List
The decade-old Mexican restaurant revealed on Instagram late last week that its final day of service will be October 28, writing, "It is with heavy hearts that T9 is announcing our closing. It’s been an amazing 10 years. Please come have a margarita, some tacos and toast to all the wonderful people and experiences we’ve had along the way."

"You're Dead to Me" Halloween Pop-Up Bar Past Event List
Rogue Ales and Spirits is the mastermind behind this spine-chilling Halloween pop-up at Dead Guy Bar, featuring 13 petrifying potables like "The Cujo" (a riff on the classic New York Sour with Dead Guy Whiskey Cabernet Cask), "The Basic Dude" (a pumpkin spice take on the White Russian with Bayfront Vodka, coffee liqueur, and pumpkin spice cream), and the "Hell Fire" (smoky mezcal, grapefruit, and Rogue Farmhouse Absinthe). To eat, there's a food menu of sinister specials like the Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired "Oogie Boogie Burger," featuring guacamole, bacon, a black bun, and creepy olive eyes.

Black Lagoon Halloween Bar Pop-Up Past Event List
Break out your best goth finery: The "whimsical but moody" cocktail bar Dirty Pretty is hosting Black Lagoon, a ghostly Halloween-themed experience proclaimed "Canada's Best Pop-Up Bar" by Canada's 100 Best in 2022. The experience, dreamed up by bartenders Erin Hayes and Kelsey Ramage in New Orleans in 2019, features dungeon-esque decor and deliciously morbid libations like the "Hellfire Fizz" (Lot 40 Dark Oak Rye Whiskey with carrot, turmeric, fresh lemon, Lustau Amontillado, Greek yogurt, Bitter Queens Caribbean spice bitters, absinthe, and seltzer), the "Book of Blood" (a take on the classic margarita with Montelobos Mezcal, Giffard Pimente D’Espellette, fresh beet, fresh lime juice, miso falernum, and absinthe), and the "Death Rattle" (Lustau Brandy, Lustau Amontillado Sherry, pineapple and lime juice, spiced oat orgeat, saline, and Bitter Queens Caribbean spice bitters).

This week, chef Luna Contreras's Northwest-inspired Mexican pop-up introduced a special matcha tres leches cake with fig leaf meringues in honor of Matcha Freak owner Katy Connors, who recently suffered a stroke. All proceeds from the dessert will go towards a GoFundMe campaign to cover the cost of Connors's brain surgery and recovery.

The "friendly neighborhood beneficial bacteria emporium" is now offering their own spin on the classic Hostess Twinkie: a vanilla cake topped with swirls of malted koji buttercream, which they've dubbed "sweetie cakes." They've also hinted that future variations of the special will appear on their menu.
