The cult-favorite Bend brewery Crux Fermentation Project recently opened a Portland pub in the former Vagabond Brewing Like List space. The new spot boasts 20 taps and a happy hour and plans to add a patio and fire pit.

Labyrinth Forge Brewing Company Like List
The local nanobrewery Labyrinth Forge Brewing Company took over the former home of Hair of the Dog Brewing Like List  on June 16. The spot features a dozen taps, including hazy IPAs, stouts, Kolsch-style ales, Mexican lager, and more.

Bridgetown Bites reports that a bar called the Mule Bar is set to take over the former Stanich's Like List space. The upcoming spot is owned by Paula Hylland, owner of the G.O.A.T. Bar Like List in Rose City Park.

Pono Brew Labs Like List
Craft brewery Pono Brewing, known for its fruity, South Pacific-inspired beers, closed its taproom and pub on Wednesday due to a lack of traffic. Pono Brewing will continue production of its beer.

Sweet Lorraine's Latkes & More Like List
As a result of its North Albina Avenue pod closing, this New York-style Jewish food cart closed at the end of May. However, all is not lost: Owners Lorraine Platman and Gary Sussman are seeking alternate options and are currently serving breakfast and brunch at the newly opened Labyrinth Forge Brewing Company (above) through July 1.

McMenamins' Zeus Cafe changes name
In tribute to longtime manager Hal Finkelstein, who passed away in January 2022, McMenamins' downtown Zeus Cafe has changed its name to Hal's Café Like List and put up new signs on Wednesday. Finkelstein helped open the cafe in 2011 and was responsible for shaping its guest experience. The business's menu has also been updated to honor Finkelstein and will include his favorite brunch dish, smoked steelhead Benedict.

Brewers Burger Brawl Past Event Like List
Five local breweries will step up to the plate to demonstrate that they can sling slider-sized burgers with the best of them. Each competitor will present their own burger and beer pairing for a team of guest judges, who will crown the winning Brewers Burger. As a guest, you'll get to play taste-tester and try as many of the entries as you like à la carte (with burgers priced at $6 each and pairings for $8), or shell out for the VIP access tickets for $35 to get to try all five. May the juiciest patty win!

Cider Summit Portland Past Event Like List
Aficionados of fruit-based libations flock to this festival billing itself as the "region’s largest hard cider tasting event," with 150 beverages from over 40 producers, including local and international brews, mead, cider cocktails, apple spirits, and "maybe even a few surprises." This year will include cider producers like Schilling, Portland Cider, Helvetia, 2 Towns Ciderhouse, and more, not to mention snacks from Blue Star Donuts and Portland Creamery that are sure to pair perfectly with the crisp beverages you'll be swilling.
