Burger fiends, rejoice: This week, Farmer and the Beast opens a new cart in Beaverton, the new and improved Midtown Beer Garden hosts its grand opening with over 20 carts (including Iron Strike Smash Burgers), Sandy-O's serves up sandwiches and smash burgers in Parkrose, and Portland Mercury's Burger Week 2023 kicks off next Monday. Plus, read about a new wood-fired pizza cart and an upcoming Latin American cafe. Queer couple Dais Fernandez and Julie Isaacson opened this new wood-fired pizza cart at the Lil' America List pod on Wednesday. Choose from pie options like margherita, soppressata, fig and fennel, and "vegan dream" (cashew ricotta, San Marzano tomato sauce, mushrooms, and shallots).

Midtown Beer Garden List
Get excited—Portland's oldest food cart pod is hosting its grand (re)opening Past Event List on Sunday, with over 20 new and returning carts to choose from, including Iron Strike Smash Burgers, Stretch the Noodle, Tito’s Burritos #1, Mr. Taco, Gyro Place, Monster Mac and Wings, Shawarma Station, and way more. The opening will also feature beer specials from Fracture Brewing's new bar cart and musical performances from the Shivas, Boka Marimba, and The Last Artful, Dodgr.

Owner Eric Arthur opens this tea shop in the former Red Robe Tea House space in Old Town-Chinatown today, serving dishes like Korean fried chicken, wonton tacos, and cold ginger chicken alongside a selection of teas curated by Kevin Von Buren of Fly Awake Tea House.

Grana Pizza Napoletana List
Married couple Maya Setton and Chris Flanagan first learned about portafoglios, a type of portable folded pizza sold as a street food in Naples, while watching Rick Steves' Europe on TV early on in the pandemic. The concept inspired them to launch their own pop-up selling the specialty at the Vancouver Farmers Market and at Portland State University's Saturday market. Now, they plan to open a brick-and-mortar selling portafoglios and Neapolitan pies in the former Pizzicato List space on East Burnside Street in October.

The Latin baking business and Beaverton farmers market staple La Floridita, known for its pastelitos and croquetas, plans to open a brick-and-mortar cafe later this month.

This Latin American street food spot has permanently closed and appears to owe $21,000 in unpaid rent, according to a letter posted by the building's landlord.

The business Papi Sal's, which got its start as a cart and serves a unique combination of Puerto Rican barbecue and Philadelphia comfort food, plans to exit its residency at White Owl Social Club List and move to a new TBA location.

Created in Cologne, Germany in the 17th century, Kölsch is a traditional German-style beer known for its golden color and crisp, delicate taste, perfect for hot summer days. At this event hosted by Gigantic Brewing Company, you'll get a chance to try nine different varieties from breweries like 54-40, Chuckanut, Double Mountain, Living Haus, Occidental, Rosenstadt, Upright, and Zoiglhaus in a traditional stange glass. Plus, feast on Kölsch beer sausages from Otto's Sausage Kitchen, enjoy German tunes from Festival Brass, and get a Gigantic-themed flash tattoo from Inkbus (if you dare).

Jade International Night Market Past Event List
The Jade Night Market finally returns after a three-year absence, and we're beyond excited to come together again in community. Browse wares from local vendors, nom on delicious multicultural eats, and check out live entertainment ranging from Cambodian traditional dance to Wushu martial arts. Mama Dut x Waz Wu Vegan Charcuterie Past Event List
Herbivores need not be left out of the girl dinner List trend: Mama Đút Foods and Waz Wu will team up to provide an exclusive vegan charcuterie board collab, complete with meatless pork belly, cashew cheese, and other delicious house-made treats. Ice Queen List
If you're in need of a cold caffeinated drink to stave off the summer heat, this plant-based frozen treat emporium just added three new iced coffee drinks to its menu—the "Queen's Brew" (iced cold brew, with or without oat milk), an "oatchata" cold brew (cold brew mixed with oat milk horchata), and a "snowflake mocha" (iced cold brew coffee with a white chocolate drizzle). As if that's not enough, they're also offering frosty pineapple Dole whip through Monday.
