Olivia Rodrigo has set dates for her Guts tour next summer—not a bad idea, right? Emo-pop heavies Fall Out Boy will have you feeling thankful “fr th mmrs” with a local tour stop this winter. Plus, Adam Sandler will slap on a baggy tee and basketball shorts for some old-school, laid-back dad humor. Chamber Music Northwest has unveiled its 2023-24 season with a dynamic program of “chamber music classics, rediscovered masterpieces, and captivating new works.”
 
Milagro Theatre has announced its 40th season of productions, which includes an original folkloric dance production in observance of Día de Muertos and the mythical monster tale Borderline.
 
The schedule for the Cascade Equinox Festival has been announced with a diverse medley of jam, electronic, funk, soul, and bluegrass acts including Pretty Lights, Big Wild, and Phantogram. 
 
By March 2024, the top floor of the Lloyd Center will be transformed into a new exhibition by professional joy-slinger Mike Bennett, the creator of Dinolandia, A to Zoo, and Wonderwood Springs. Painted Pines, a “multi-land immersive art experience,” is inspired by national parks and will include over 45,000 square feet of exploratory installations.
 
Portland’s first bilingual children’s bookstore, Linda Letra Bilingual Books, will open in Montavilla on September 16. Owner Rachel Kimbrow stocks Spanish language, bilingual, and Indigenous language books for kids, and plans to host Spanish storytimes and a Spanish language version of Battle of the Books.
