Brit Bennett, a California-born Stanford grad with an MFA from the University of Michigan, debuted with a novel at the top of the New York Times bestseller list. She found continued success with her second novel, The Vanishing Half, cited as a Best Book of 2020 by NPR, The Washington Post, and many other outlets. An accomplished essayist, Bennett has been published in The New Yorker, the New York Times Magazine, The Paris Review, and Jezebel.
