2023 Risk/Reward Festival of New Performance
Encouraging theater, music, and dance artists to experiment, push boundaries, and generally go buck wild, the juried Risk/Reward Festival showcases spankin' new works (all under 20 minutes) by regional indie performers each year. (Willamette Week calls it "speed dating for contemporary performance," and we have to agree.) This time around, seven Pacific Northwest creatives will strut their stuff—we're looking forward to Shannon Stewart's river, river, river, set within a Panera Bread—and the Portland Drag Theatre Workshop will stage a reading of theatrical works by cabaret and nightlife drag performers.
