Portland Metalheads Unite!

Descend into the abyss and unleash your darkest, most brutal compositions at Rose City Guitar Company’s 3-day Extreme Metal Songwriting Workshop. From September 6th-8th, immerse yourself in an intensive, hands-on experience designed to forge your skills in crafting relentless riffs, mastering song structures, and conquering the unique challenges of extreme metal songwriting to include: heavy metal, black metal, death metal, progressive metal, alternative metal, metalcore, thrash metal, power metal, symphonic metal, and doom metal.

If you are a beginner to songwriting or you’re already an accomplished songwriter - we can help and will challenge you appropriately. As far as technical skills go, you should be able to play at an intermediate level. You should feel comfortable with power chords and down picking/alternate picking. If you’re advanced we can also help you give your ideas more direction/structure and get you out of that rut! Current RCGC students receive a discount as well as online attendees.
