During AANHPI Heritage Month, Lan Su is proud to present Cultural Immersion Days.
May 27th highlights Japan - please join us in our garden for a day of cultural performances, educational talks, and interactive family activities!
10:00 am to 5:00 pm - Craft Activity: Learn Origami with Lunarcat Studios (Join Carolyn Woody from Lunarcat Studios and make your own origami to take home! Open to all ages and abilities)
11:00 am to 12:00 pm - Traditions of The Kimono: A Culture Talk & Demonstration with Takako Watanabe Elting (Learn about the history of the kimono, and see a demonstration on properly wearing this special Japanese garment)
1:00 pm - Koto Music Cultural Performance with Oregon Koto-Kai
2:00 pm - Japanese Dance Cultural Performance with Team Japonesque (See traditional and modern Japanese dances performed in our garden)
3:00 pm - Japanese Taiko Drums Cultural Performance with Takohachi
