This Sunday, the Portland Bureau of Transportation (PBOT) will host a community gathering celebrating the brand-new Congressman Earl Blumenauer Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge. The bridge will offer a vital car-free connection between the Lloyd and Central Eastside neighborhoods—stop by to check it out and take part in community-led bike rides. Congressman Blumenauer himself and Commissioner Jo Ann Hardesty (who oversees PBOT) will be on site to speak, and visitors will find pop-up block parties on nearby streets.
