The following description comes from the event organizer.

We are thrilled to once again welcome you into the store to party like it's, well, 2019, before all this nonsense began. On Saturday, April 30th (which also happens to be Jacqueline Winspear's birthday) we will celebrate all that is indie with a party at the store--consider it a warm-up party to our 30th anniversary celebration on May 14th.

We will have IBD specialty items created just for this day, including special Blackwing pencils, mugs, tote bags, and other items. We have limited quantities of most of these, so come early. As a thank you for your support of indies, we will also be offering 20% off all jigsaw puzzles and poetry books all day long. (This is an in-store sale only.) Any book purchase on Saturday will also get you a cool book-related bookmark for free, while they last!

Most exciting, we are thrilled to announce a new item of Broadway Books swag: in addition to our purplish (the color is actually called "Storm") Books Save Lives T-shirts, we now have Broadway Books navy blue hoodies for sale. As a special incentive, anyone wearing a BB t-shirt or sweatshirt to our 30th anniversary party on May 14th will earn an additional discount. Woohoo!!! You can order t-shirts and hoodies at this link.
