The following description comes from the event organizer.

Change Today announce US tour dates in support of their debut album I Am, out May 20th.

Featuring former T.S.O.L. front man Joe Wood and backed by Chris Ogard and Mark Campbell, Change Today will soon hit stages near you with their fiery alchemy of rock ‘n’ roll that incorporates outlaw Americana, classic goth-punk noir and primal blues.

Joe Wood, an American singer and songwriter from Long Beach, California and student of the Chicago and Delta blues reflects on his genesis block “I decided to become a musician when I saw The Germs play at The Masque in L.A. in 1978 or 1979. I figured if they can do it, I can, too. I started my own band the very next day.” Continuing his journey, Joe Wood remains true to his craft while evolving over the course of his music career and has proudly shared the stage with luminaries and his idols B.B. King and Buddy Guy.

Beginning in Philadelphia, PA on June 2, Change Today embark on their latest trek across the US where they will perform new songs from their debut album I Am in addition to classic tracks and rarities from Joe Wood’s extensive back catalogue with T.S.O.L.

From the title track “I Am” an Americana inspired goth-blues crossover to the 80’s influenced shard-bitten earworm “Tourniquet” the outlaw eccentrics of Change Today are steeped in the primal howls of peak blues-punk tempered with the laid-back incendiary vocals of Joe Wood.

Joe says “I think music is the purest, most direct, most expressive form of communication.”

Drawing you to sink into the cloudy abyss Change Today’s communiqués will creep into your psyche with their depraved alchemy before bringing you back up for air.

For a captivating good time, check out the new album I Am and witness one of these upcoming performances.
