Acclaimed chef Kwame Onwuachi, author of the memoir Notes on a Young Black Chef (which is being adapted into a biopic starring Lakeith Stanfield), will discuss his new cookbook My America: Recipes from a Young Black Chef with Top Chef star Gregory Gourdet and sign copies of his book. Gourdet will also whip up dishes inspired by his own cookbook Everyone's Table and his upcoming restaurant Kann, including poule nan sos (Haitian stewed chicken), coconut creamed greens with peanuts and tomatoes, and Haitian-spiced pineapple upside-down cake.
