Taking cues from traditional Japanese ghost stories, Tokuzō Tanaka's 1968 film follows a master sculptor and his apprentice, who seek out a mystical tree with which to carve a statue commissioned by a local temple. This angers the ghostly witch of the woods, who takes her revenge on the master but spares the student, who goes on to marry the beautiful Yuki. Soak in winter's spooky vibes at this outdoor screening on the heated patio.
