A selection of W.E.B. DuBois’s photographs and charts from the 1900 Paris Exhibition depicts African American life and invites museum-goers to engage with the visual dynamics of race. DuBois’s artist statement, “The problem of the twentieth century is the problem of the color line,” sadly still rings true today.
