Navigating the complicated territories of grief, familial connection, and death, Jenn Sova's DADDY was born from the recent suicide of her estranged father and the expectations of kin in modern culture. In DADDY, Sova asks: "What does it mean to heal when confronting estranged loss?"
In-person opening reception on Friday, May 6th, 6–9 pm, with artist performance, Gray Matter, at sundown.
Additional programming to include A Tender Outline, a collection of readings and responses relating to fathers, grief, media, and queerness. Readings will be from local and national artists, writers, and musicians. This hybrid program will take place virtually as well as at after/time on Sunday, May 22nd, 3:00 PM–4:30 PM.
