Pulitzer Prize-winning author and presidential historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, whose book Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln formed the basis of Steven Spielberg’s 2012 film Lincoln, will visit Portland with a new lecture on the far-reaching impact of the Voting Rights Act of 1965 and her time working with President Lyndon B. Johnson.
