In collaboration with a dynamic group of NW poets and writers!  Two Portland artists, Julie Rall and Ruth Meijer, present abstract atmospheric paintings and a large-scale mobile depicting the expanse of space in the natural world.  Rall and Meijer explore their impressions of water, sky and the cosmos through graceful artistic technique that celebrates the fundamentals of painting and sculpture: color, form and scale.  Adding an element of spoken imagery to the exhibition, NW poets and writers will read selections of their work to complement the notion of expanse.  The author group includes:  David Abel, Chris Ashby, Steph Baker, Alex Behr, David Booth, Elizabeth Costello, Michelle Ruiz Keil, Marina Lazzara, Sam Lohman, Jennifer Pons, Meg Ready, Monica Regan, Joe Safdie, Sarah Kalthoff Sims, Chanel Wiggan, James Yeary
