After being struck with record delays and show cancellations, Portland indie-rock band Eyelids (consisting of members from Guided By Voices, Stephen Malkmus and the Jicks, The Decemberists, Camper Van Beethoven, and Boston Spaceship) are persisting with an almost record release party for their forthcoming album, A Colossal Waste Of Light, due this October. The group will celebrate the album with a performance of deep cuts and rare tracks along with some special surprises and snazzy commemorative posters. Plus, Herman Jolly of ‘90s indie rock outfit Sunset Valley will support with a solo set.
