Portland-based painter and sculptor Christy Nyboer’s experimental art installation pulls from the lost history of the land surrounding Portland's NW Marine Art Works building. The industrial zone was once the site of Oregon’s Lewis and Clark Centennial Exposition, and before that, Native Americans lived in the natural wetland area. Nyboer's Forgotten Lake speaks to a collective desire for sanctuary in spaces that have been changed and lost over time.
