The rebellious older sister of the butterfly may be considered a pest by some, but moths are actually pretty interesting and mysterious creatures, and beautiful in their own right. Download the iNaturalist app and head to Leach Botanical Garden for a City Nature Challenge that'll teach you all about them. The organizers explain, "Using a light source, we’ll attract these fantastic nighttime creatures and provide them a surface to rest on. Your job will be to watch them arrive, snap a photo, and upload it to iNaturalist, becoming a community science contributor to this amazing global biodiversity database." Space is limited to 15 people, so register soon.
