Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams (yes, before you Google it, director J.J. is her dad) makes emotional pop songs about heartbreak full of quivering vocals and sparse arrangements. She’s gained notoriety in recent years for her close friendship with Olivia Rodrigo and mutual admiration from big names like Taylor Swift and Billie Eilish. Although rubbing elbows with the stars has helped her break through to the mainstream, her sheer talent for songwriting stands on its own.
