Renowned flutist Hubert Laws is a rare example of a classical artist who managed to master jazz, pop, and R&B, playing with an eclectic list of artists throughout his six-decade-long career including Aretha Franklin, Paul Simon, Ella Fitzgerald, and Quincy Jones, and on film scores for The Wiz and The Color Purple. He will perform alongside fellow jazz legend Brian Jackson, best known for his work with poet and musician Gil Scott-Heron.
