Comedian Jenny Yang, who was named one of Variety's Top Ten Comics to Watch back in 2020, has proven the magazine right ever since. Her "competitive self-care comedy show," SELF HELP ME, blends personal storytelling and social commentary to hilariously timely effect; she's also shared the stage with Maria Bamford, Margaret Cho, Sarah Silverman, and Chelsea Handler. If that's not enough, Yang's also a badass labor organizer and community activist—she's a "proud union member of the Screen Actors Guild and the Writers Guild of America," and shook hands with Obama when she was honored for her leadership in Asian American and Pacific Islander art and storytelling. by Lindsay Costello
