Kent Ford, activist and co-founder of Portland's chapter of the Black Panther Party, will offer a walking tour of the Albina area, sharing personal memories of the neighborhood's history of revolutionary activism and legacy of community service. Starting at the Matt Dishman Center and ending at the Northeast Coalition of Neighborhoods, the approximately 1.5-mile tour is an unmissable opportunity to engage directly with a leader in local civil rights history. Want to learn more about Kent Ford? Check out Walking Through Portland With A Panther: the Life of Mr. Kent Ford, a solo play currently being performed at Portland Playhouse.
