Old Unconscious is an experimental instrumental project that was formed in Portland, Oregon in 2016 to bring life compositions by Cory Gray. The group draws influence from world music, jazz, psychedelic rock and many other genres, and performs frequently around the Portland area. With Matt Berger on drums & percussion, Perry Pfister on upright bass, Noah Bernstein on saxophone, Cory Gray on keyboards and trumpet, and often Rachel Blumberg and/or Daniel Hunt on additional percussion.
