A leader in performing new choral music, OREGON REPERTORY SINGERS (ORS) premieres-according to artistic director ETHAN SPERRY- "one of the most inspiring and beautiful choral works of the twenty-first century," JOBY TALBOT'S (U.K.) PATH OF MIRACLES. "The way this organization has pulled together during this crisis is truly inspiring, and it shows in the way we are singing! I can't think of a better time to take our audience down the PATH OF MIRACLES into the hope for a brighter future." Set for virtuosic 16-part a cappella choir, this monumental work takes the listener on a musical journey down the Camino de Santiago in Spain.

THE PATH OF MIRACLES marks the beginning of the 49TH SEASON of Oregon Repertory Singers and will be held at the new PATRICIA RESER CENTER FOR THE ARTS. True to their commitment to present the best in new choral music, the season will also include premieres by Portland's very own NAOMI LAVIOLETTE and "one of the best of the younger American composers," JAKE RUNESTAD, who will conclude the season conducting both ORS and ORS YOUTH CHOIR in many of his most powerful works.

ORS YOUTH CHOIR is entering their 29th season, under the leadership of new artistic director AUBREY PATTERSON. "I am moved by the music our youth choir made in our short COVID sessions and with the all-city Eric Whitacre honor choir. I am so excited to begin our first full season of creating musical memories and experiences with ORS Youth Choir!" Enrollment for the full-season program (September 2022-June 2023) is open for ALL STUDENTS GRADES K-12. No prior experience is required. The 2022-2023 season will include new rehearsal locations, COMMUNITY-BUILDING retreats, COMPOSER-IN-RESIDENCE partnerships, GUEST ARTISTS (such as the spring performance with JAKE RUNESTAD), and exciting participation in festivals and tours.
