You know what's missing from the poetry scene? Popcorn. This writing workshop, open mic, and film screening community event agrees. Head to Alberta Abbey to catch the free screening of Wes Anderson's anthropomorphic comedy Fantastic Mr. Fox, which will be preceded by a community open mic and an hour-long cross-genre writing workshop on the film's themes. Brennan DeFrisco, a Pushcart-nominated local teaching artist and poet, will facilitate.
