The Portland Film Festival (and its elegant grey wolf mascot, Lupe) will continue to celebrate independent cinema with a diverse lineup of films again this year. The fest will introduce an industry strike pass for WGA and SAG-AFTRA union members, and a new Talk-and-Learn film series will preview never-before-seen footage and films, followed by panel discussions with local and visiting experts on Oregon's economy, homelessness, Fentanyl, and more. Although they haven't yet released their film lineup, I'm excited to learn more about the festival's Black Stories and Indigenous film programs.
