This Pulitzer-winning production tells the harrowing story of the Central Park Five case. When five Black and Latino teens were accused of rape in 1989, coerced confessions resulted in wrongful convictions and a decades-long struggle for justice. The exoneration of Antron McCray, Kevin Richardson, Yusef Salaam, Raymond Santana, and Korey Wise has since become a story of persistence and freedom, interpreted in this two-act opera by composer Anthony Davis.
