Stranger writer Dave Segal wrote that Shabazz Palaces frontman Ishmael Butler "has the unparalleled nonchalance of Herbie Hancock, Stevie Wonder, and Lou Reed—people so gifted, they don't ever need to get in your face about their talents." Butler will offer you some of his brilliance at a rare music workshop followed by a live set of his experimental jazz- and electronic-influenced hip-hop tunes. He will be joined by like-minded avant-rap artist Moor Mother.
