The following description comes from the event organizer.

Honey-voiced mezzo-soprano Hannah Penn channels her inner Gertrude Stein to celebrate Queer love, joy, and empowerment. Slipping Off the Petticoat traces Penn’s personal journey through the work of iconic femme poets Virginia Woolf, Jane Bowles and Edna St. Vincent Millay set by composers Eve Beglarian, Dominick Argento, and Shiela Silver. You’ll also experience hand selected piano solos by Maria Garcia and poetry recitations in Spanish and English. ASL interpretation will be provided at the October 5th show.
