Tracey Fordice Band
Tracey Fordice has been performing professionally as a singer and pianist since her younger days in Pendleton, Oregon in the 1970s. After a successful multi-decade career as a solo performer and member of prominent NW acts such as Incognito and Delta Haze, Tracey released her first album of original songs. The CD is titled “Long Hard Day” and is still available today. Featuring rock n’ roll, folk-rock, a little country and more, the album spans many different genres, all featuring Tracey’s beautiful and powerful voice! In 2013, Tracey stepped into the Blues scene, along with local guitarist Randy Yearout, and formed Tracey Fordice and the 8-Balls. The band was a hit in the Blues community, winning the Cascade Blues Association’s “Muddy Award” for Best New Blues Act in 2014, and they were nominated for Cascade Blues Association’s Muddy Award for Contemporary Blues Act in 2015. They also participated in the 2015 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee, representing Oregon’s Ashland Blues Society. The band recorded and released a new album entitled “Out Of The Blues”, featuring a variety of Blues, Blues-Rock, and Folk-Rock. All the material was written by Randy and Tracey, except for two songs penned by other songwriters. Later, in 2015, Tracey and Randy married, becoming an even stronger musical force, continuing with the band another year until reforming it into a new act called The Tracey Fordice Band. For 6 years this group performed regularly throughout the northwest at festivals, city/park concerts, regional events, and in nightclubs throughout the metro area. Tracey Fordice Band features Tracey Fordice on piano and vocals, Randy Yearout on guitars and vocals, Johnnie Corrie on drums, percussion and vocals, and Todd Ommert on bass.
