Tartuca is Portland’s newest Italian scratch restaurant, opening to the public on Wednesday, May 25th. Located in the former Radar space on North Mississippi, Owner Jason Riley (of Fino Bistro & Pizzeria), Chef Jamie Wilcox (former Chef of Park Kitchen), and Wine Buyer/General Manager Grant Ferguson (former General Manager of Arden) intend to bring a farm-fresh focus to homemade pastas & New York Neapolitan pizzas. Tartuca will be wine-forward, with a focus on varietals from Italy and the neighboring regions. Barrel-aged classic cocktails as well as a rotating seasonal list are available for the spirits lover. But the true focus of this ‘Scratch Italian Kitchen’ will be serving a totally fresh and frequently changing menu, in a casual, neighborhood setting. There will be options to order online for pick-up, and reservations will be taken for parties greater than four. Tartuca will be open for lunch as well, 7-days a week from 11:30-10pm. Though for the first few weeks will not be open Monday or Tuesday, so stay tuned.
