Playwright Mikki Gillette’s The Queers is a landmark event. The first-ever trans ensemble drama by a trans writer to premiere in Portland, The Queers centers three trans women grappling with their careers, finances, and love lives amid transition and the complicated, omnipresent transphobia they navigate.
