The following description comes from the event organizer.

The Seagull by Anton Chekhov and translated by Michael Frayn is a dark comedy about the hilarious and painful pitfalls of unrequited love and obsession. Every character in the play grasps for the one thing outside their reach with a pounding heart and hungry eyes. Medvedenko loves Masha who loves Konstantin who loves Nina who loves the idea of fame that Arkadina clings to and Trigorin bemoans. It's that simple. The question is who will get what they want and who will end up holding a dead seagull?

Heralded as one of Chekhov's greatest works, The Seagull plays comedy and drama on a knife-edge.
